Director Biography – Alexander Julian

Dan Sellers is the President of Wreak Havoc Productions, LLC, a small film production company out of Greensboro, North Carolina. Dan started his career in filmmaking with the horror-comedy feature film, “Hank vs. The Undead” in 2014, which was followed-up with the short “Hank vs. Dracula.” In 2015, Dan wrote and directed the short “Dark Heat” which was included in the feature film anthology “Witching Hour II.” In 2016, Dan produced and directed the feature documentary, “Sammie the Comic Book Man,” which won several festival awards. Dan wrote, produced and directed the found footage style horror shorts, “Midnight Shift” (2017) and its sequel “Countdown to Midnight” (2019). In 2018, Dan directed the true crime documentary, “Trouble Will Cause” about the Lawson Family murders. More recently Dan adapted the Stephen King classic, “Uncle Otto’s Truck” which won several awards for Best Film and Screenwriting. Dan also co-produced the dramas “Sea Salt Wind” and “Spirit of the Cinema.”

Dan is also the Director of the Wreak Havoc Horror Film Festival, an annual venue for international shorts and feature films in the horror genre. Dan co-hosts the Wreak Havoc Film Buffs Podcast with his producing partner, Sammie Cassell, and is the producer and host of The Carolina Haints Podcast, which has been adapted into a book, being published fall 2021.

Most recently, Wreak Havoc Productions has teamed up with Al Julian, for the horror short, “Birthday Boy.” (2021). Sammie and Dan are currently in development with a horror-comedy feature film, “The Boogeyman of Black Mountain.”
