
Marcus Veras wrote and directed the short films “Las Minas de Potosí”, which won an honorable mention for script and editing at the Girona Festival (Spain) in 2002; “Ciranda do Mar”, screened at the São Sebastião Ecological Film Festival (ECocine III) in 2003; “A Lira Feminina”, about six Brazilian musicians, shown at the Bahia International Film Journey (2003) and at the Havana Film Festival (2004); Directed and edited (with Elias Fajardo) the short about the flutist “Odete Ernst Dias: from Paris to Ibitipoca” (2005). In 2020/21, due to the pandemic, he wrote and directed the short films “O Testament” (exhibited at the Mostra “Sgae en Corto”, in Madrid, and “Da Cor ao Preto e Branco”, for the Literary Festival of Santa Maria Madalena.
