HOMECOMING, 30min., Bangladesh

Joya is returning home on sudden notice. Apparently that her dad is very sick. Is it just sickness or is there something more than that? Her uncle has come to the boarding school to take her back home. Before leaving, Joya’s friend tells her that she has to come back. The film portrays the unrest political situation and threats to the minority community of East Pakistan during 1966-67. She goes through flashbacks and memories with her caring father Ashok Mitre. The world around her, all the sights and sounds of her surroundings, make her ready for stepping into the next phase of life- another uncertainty.

BERGAMOT, 15min., Brazil

Inspired by real events. Bergamot, the name that tangerine receives in southern Brazil. This fruit with such a characteristic smell and for many, an aphrodisiac, will trigger a night of seduction, sensual dancing, blood and revenge on an ordinary night in Rio de Janeiro. Bergamot, is a Thriller/Horror/LGBTQ film released in July 2023, and already participated over 56° Film Festivals in Brazil and All Over The World winning 24 Awards so far. SEVENTEEN as “Best Film”, One as “Best Director”, One as “Best Photography” , Three as “Best Screenplay” and Two as “Best Actor ( Marcio Rosario). Bergamot also got nominated 18 Times on “Best Screenplay” and “Best Actor” and “Best Art Director” categories.

As an homage to Lloyd Bridges, Sea Hunt, and the black & white television shows of his youth, documentary filmmaker Paul Cater Deaton brings us Showdown at Tiger Beach. On location 25 miles off the coast of Grand Bahama, PCD joined an expedition with Epic Diving and shark shooter extraordinaire, Joe Romeiro, for some of the most high-voltage diving of his life. At times surrounded by 12 large tigers and dozens of other sharks, the divers found a target-rich environment for filming animal behaviors. Working in open water and without cages, Deaton captures heart-stopping human interaction.

Litter can harm wildlife in many ways. When wildlife ingests garbage, it may block their airways or fill up their stomachs, causing them to choke or starve to death. Geese fly in a perfect V formation. Studies have shown that flying in this way and using this kind of “teamwork. Working as a team and helping out can be as easy as properly disposing of our garbage, recycling when possible, and picking up any trash we find. In groups where there is encouragement, productivity is greater. In a fast-paced working environment, remembering to provide recognition and encouragement to each other (including the leaders) is vital to keeping teams motivated and achieving their goals
